1 newcomer, 1 incumbent announce plans to run for seats in Nebraska Legislature

“Omaha native Wendy DeBoer plans to seek the District 10 seat, representing north-central Omaha and the Bennington area.

The seat is now held by State Sen. Bob Krist of Omaha, who is term-limited.

DeBoer, 43, is working on a doctorate in Christian theology from Syracuse University and has taught at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

She has a law degree from the University of Nebraska.

DeBoer is a registered Democrat. The Nebraska Legislature is nonpartisan, meaning that elections are conducted without regard to political party.”
