The following was received from the Douglas County Election Commissioner”
“On behalf of myself Brian W. Kruse, Douglas County Election Commissioner, and Chief Deputy Election Commissioner Christopher Carithers, I am writing regarding the time frame of when and how election results will be reported in Douglas County, Omaha, Nebraska.
Please find two attachments. One being the schedule titled “Election Night Reporting Times” the other being the schedule for ballots counted and reported after Election Day, entitled “Ballots Counted After Election Day” Results can be viewed at our website www.votedouglascounty.com on the homepage.
There are always ballots counted after Election Day, therefore election night results are always unofficial until we canvass the election, which is scheduled for Monday, November 23, 2020. It is important to note the schedule has not changed this election cycle and is the one that Douglas County has followed for many elections. ”

Please note: “midday pickup results” are the ballots that were cast before 2pm (approximately) on Election Day. The EC has those ballots retrieved and counted before the polls close.
Also note that as the evening progresses one can view which precincts have been completely counted on the EC’s website.
