The County Convention is the supreme decision body of the county party. It has several responsibilities:
- elect delegates to the State Convention (in Hastings this year)
- elect county party officers
- elect a new Central Committee
- consider and act upon any proposed changes to the party Constitution and Bylaws
- adopt resolutions to be presented at State Convention
Since this is a Presidential election year, the county conventions are the first step in selecting Nebraska’s delegates to go to the National Convention.
