Should Nebraska allow Medicaid expansion?
A proposal to expand Medicaid to about 90,000 low-income Nebraskans will appear on the November general election ballot. The Nebraska Secretary of State certified over 105,000 signatures collected this summer.
A lawsuit was filed in Lancaster County asking for the proposal to be declared “invalid, legally insufficient” and ordered off the ballot. The Lancaster County judge ruled against the lawsuit which will allow this to appear on the ballot as Initiative 427.
Jessica Shelburn, Nebraska State Director for Americans for Prosperity and Molly McCleery, with Nebraska Appleseed will reflect their views on this issue Nebraskans will vote on in November. Please join us for this informative discussion.
